Have you thought about Rinehart's? My dad has Rineharts on his 08 Road King. They sound great, but are a little loud for my preference, but sound quality wise, they are very deep. They also look good.

Might not have the mounting holes on the left side bottom of the frame for the muffler support bracket?

It is my understanding that as long as the left side of your frame is drilled and tapped, you will have no problem mounting the true dual systems that are sold for later softails. I read it on one of the exhaust manufacturers websites (Samson maybe?).

Drilled and tapped mine and am currently running Samson TD's.

Not a problem.

I put the Samson's on my dad's 96 Heritage, had to drill and tap the left side holes. I don't think they sound good but they fit. And I do think that's the only other option

At some time, possibly between 95 and 97, Harley changed the shape of the primary chaincase, above the clutch and where the starter is installed. I used a pair of Samson TD pipes for a while, on my 1990 Glide, but couldn't stop the left one from resting on the chaincase, they simply didn't have enough clearance.

Must have been before '95 because mine don't touch the primary.

thought it had something to do with the support tube that goes from top to bottom. i was thinking maybe they moved it and there was not enough room the get the pipe through. my bass#$%^^&& pipes were tight but i guess the V&H would fit also
