Turned up the radio? Louder pipes? Ear plugs?

Yep...louder pipes. Picked up a set of Riehnhart racing slipons at the swap meet. Love the sound.

That will work. I'm not a fan of loud pipes, I listen to the noises, it's a guessing game....what's this or that? Is it serious? They usually go away and something else pops up.

Only noise I have now is that spring cover over the ignition key. I put a foam strip under it an it still does it. I don't have a key guess I should spring for a new switch.

I know what your saying about listening to the noises and trying to figure out what they are.
I'm down to only one now, a squeak at 3k rpm. been chasing it for weeks now to no avail. my fear is that it's a bearing in the primary or bottom end. The biggest problem is that it's random.

I am late to the party, but my guess would have been you dumped the old lady. Loud pipes were probably cheaper.

Yeh, it's more of a squeak than a whine. my current ol lady is pretty well trained. Just don't tell her I said that

If Something sticks out soundwise, I'll generally pick it up.
Bike is pretty loud but I think its a combination of Sound and Feel when something is going wrong.

Before I read anyone else's reply, I am going with ear plugs for you and a gag for the old lady...
