Will get some pictures before I start because after that it is focus focus focus.

Basically what you are saying is that you are standing in the middle of biker **** and with every turn of the wrench or part installed you get a bigger woody and can't be bothered to share!!!!

Gotcha!!!

BTW I couldn't agree more!!!!

OK, after looking at this Ultima for a while, my opinion is Ultima spends alot of effort to have beefy parts and designed to in theory hold up, nothing cheap in rotating parts or valve train, maybe with this being a newer engine the weak links are gone.

What I did notice is cosmetic casting and finishing is subpar, chroming is as cheap as possible and machine marks is visable under the chrome. Parts fitting together was tight and nothing alarming, rocker boxes way stouter than HD, rocker assembly solid, Ultima push tubes were easy to adjust, so only time will tell if it can take the abuse the stroked HD motor enjoyed.

Been thinking hard about this one, have the 31 in my mind with the 6 speed but I also have the lower primary gearing so a 32 will live, mostly do alot of quick hits and don't do many interstate miles so I'm on the fence.

What is your opinion?

I started the OD6 install on my bagger today, hope to have enough spare time to finish it during the week.
I have the 3.37 gearing with the 3.24 first now, and surely don't need it geared any lower. Also 32-70 spockets.
I'll have the same gearing 1st-5th as stock with the OD6, which I like, just looking for the 6th to calm the r's a bit above 75.
I'll let you know how it works out.

Ok, 127 is bolted in and one heavy a$$ engine putting it in by myself. Going to keep the belt drive because I think the Harley side car belt will live but when dragging the old 32 tooth pulley out of take off cabinet I forgot it weighs almost 9 lbs, went ahead and ordered a chrome moly 32 tooth pulley from Evolution Industries that is 4 lbs, have a All ***** extreme duty trans bearing for the inner primary, All ***** clutch bearing with intentions of not leaving areas of failure from the throttle in the future.

Jaspers charging system clearance problems is present in this setup, have the HO charging system and the 127 has the small spacer so Jasper pioneered into this potential problem, switched the large spacer from the HD engine to the 127 and should be ok. Needed to replace the crank seal anyway because it was facing the wrong way for a belt drive and not a wet primary.

Waiting for some misc items, trans pulley and the rear brake line started dripping from being moved so that added another $75 plus will see what comes up like it always does.

Another day of tinkering usual stuff, starts simple but basically started rebuilding the bike. Couple of photos attached and the 2 spacers that messed with Jasper if anyone runs into the clearance issues.
Whole bunch if engine packed in that frame, don't know if I can pull off the sleeper gig anymore by physical appearance but going to play dumb and use the ole 80" Evo, the twinkee owners will be looking for how I am powering the speakers so OK but the Shovels/Evo buddies will know because they ride hard and will most likely get passed by a large white object.
