Ya, the bikes were rumbling past my house in packs this weekend and buddies revving up when going past calling me out those ba$tard$, got a big handful for them and patience is golden right now and you are right, it's the little things like obsolete oil hoses that slow things down. That trans pulley won't be here until later in the week so I should have all of the nick nack crap done.

That's looking great. Did you go with a whole Ultima motor or just bits and pieces

Bought a one season Ultima and took it apart to "clean" it up, it needed a little more cleaning up than I expected but should be sound. Painted the block and cylinders wrinkle coat with natural heads to keep the vintage look.

you're welcome for the charging system tidbit

mines down again, exhaust flanged loosened up, and blew out the gasket on the rear cylinder

well, since exhaust had to come off anyways, I decided I wanted to fix the clutch cable (using my original one, was 4" too long. it worked, but it always bugged me to even look at it)

oughta have it back together tomorrow. here's hoping thats the last thing that loosens up on my

Still chipping away, had to clearance the cam cover to get the front pipe past the engine and clearance the mount at the trans to get the stepped pipe exhaust on.
Kept the older chromed inner primary because the 97 FLH is tough to find and need too many other $200 items to finish it but inner is on and centifical clutch is on and adjusted, Screamin Eagle side car belt is in a pic along with the new chrome moly lightweight drive pulley. Started eyeballing the changes needed to mount the ghost pipe since the don't make it for the older bike, just gotta have a TD look.
Have new Barnett braided throttle and idle cables that need to be installed since I have a broken idle cable and figure I need the safety in case the monster hangs the carb wide open

Ya, took at least 1/8" off the length of the corner to get enough clearance, it is a done deal.

Getting close, went ahead and ordered the correct needed oil hose, should have all of the little stuff buttoned up when it arrives and fire the monster. Needed a different throttle cable mount for a S&S to accept stock throttle cables so a learning lesson.

Working on the ghost pipe and needs some mods due to the Dragula pipe is in a different spot than the Propipe, have the mounting flange cut off and need to reweld it plus the big hit of buying another Dragula muffler but I have a 2 1/2" now and Frank Drago said it needs a 3" If the 3" is deafening like Jasper is saying, can switch to the 2 1/2" and maybe tone it down some as both mufflers are the same diameter and size.

Spent alot of time and detail on doing things right so hopefully it will a be smooth transition to the street.

Thanks my friend, clutch pull feels like stock right now with the supplied spring, hope it doesn't slip down low until the clutch locks but a stronger spring is normal if it can't hold down low.

Headin out to bleed brakes and a few misc items, I'll take some more pics with the exhaust covers on.
