It flows a lot of air & I"m going to a Wood's cv carb in the next couple of weeks & will need to get rid of this set-up. Carb, also. If your interested, I can make ya a good deal on the ac set-up. Just another option.
Interested, need some of the mounting items to make the S&S work anyway and may not like the S&S setup, a 80" Roadking stock cover would be more my style. Shoot me a PM

Are you all done yet?
So far mine has the ultima 6spd. ultima 127 reworked blueprinted from southern mototrcycle works.
I had my uncle put the xxx treatment on a super g carb stainless patriot defender shorty 2 into 1. Closed primary with screamin eagle clutch and pressure plate. Belt final drive. I can tell you first hand that when this thing lights off with the s&s stock cam 4200-6000+ rpm the front end will get real light. my 21 fat spoke starts reaching for the sky....

I am really thinking about a 2" bagger belt drive with pro clutch. I am on my 3rd starter gear stock then primo now 66 tooth harley..... when this motor kicks back during cold start ups really f cks the teeth up and the starter and clutch gears.... easier to pull a cover off belt drive than a closed drive wet clutch pack...
450cc amp battery
2 negative grounds good cables
1.75 ultima push button / havnt ever used the push button yet.

Brad, The 127 kicks back even with compression releases? Sachs set my CCP @ 190 which is what my 89" is at and it kicked backed a few times last year with a 5 year old battery and cranking speed slowed down. The 66 has large teeth, a kick back broke the 66 also? I'm running the middle of the road ring gear I believe is 81, has been solid but entering a new world.

Been going back and studying your jet and Thunderjet settings, the air bleed jet is something new but will read enough to know how to set it up, funny thing is I keep thinking about the distance of gas stations on a South Dakota ride and wondering how much gas these monsters eat.

Went back to the first post with a boring need nothing winter and now into a underwear changing engine, matching performance parts purchasing and need to keep learning at another level, going to blame it on Jasper and his dam S&S purchase.

eh, I've been blamed for worse. i'm a permanent scapegoat for a brothers projects when it comes to marital justification (long story short, she hates me, oh well)

one thing I've noticed, even with a strong starter (AllBalls) and a fresh battery, and ACRs (CCP is 155ish psi engaged), theres a whole lot of mass to get spinning. I wouldnt wanna even think about trying to start one of these beasts with some sort of compression release. the first start still required the jump pack for me (got a couple quick farts out of it without it, voltage was dropping between 9.3-9.6v cranking)...with the jump pack on, was still getting down to mid 9's for voltage, but enough to get it cranked (found out recently the IST ignition will still signal/fire coils down to 6.5v, but the coil likely won't have enough juice for a good spark below 9v)

here's hoping as she wears in a bit, it gets a little easier to spin over....otherwise i'll have to look long and hard at one of those lithium super high CCA batteries

Just put the 66 tooth on. I will need to look at my timing. Maybe to far advanced?

OK, big brown truck showed up today and some reworked goodies was in the box.

Ultima R1 bored, Thunderjet and external air bleed system, Sachs set up my air bleed system, Thunderjet and jetting, he runs the same 127 in his bike so got a good starting point for tuning.

He garbled about 4 angle valve job, widened seats, upgraded valves, cold crank pressure set at 190 and flowed 325 cfm with the stock 127 cam.

Just gotta put on the heads and rockers today, sorry about no pictures, don't like distractions when putting a engine like this engine together and gotta admit the bigger engine parts make loading the pistons more difficult.

Will get some pictures before I start because after that it is focus focus focus.
