Default Winter zipper hell

All this talk about winter projects and so I have to add one too.
My old Hallman (Swedish) leather jacket has had a zipper that I've been babying for the last YEAR! Pinching, hammering, pinching some more on the clasp to get a few more miles out of it. POS.
Went to the local seamstress and it was to cost $70 bucks to put in a new one!!!! Crap on that.
So I bought a green zipper because it was the only one hefty enough and close to the right size. Spent three nights next to the fire with the kids (armed with carpet thread and pliers) and Viola!
Daddy's on fire!

Good job. Rub a little beeswax on it.

I get bagged on by the Old Lady that I don't spend enough quality time with the kids... Sitting watching Simpsons reruns is rough going.
Doing a carb rebuild on the coffee table didn't win me any points. Hell, I thought as long as I'm with the little ones, right??? Ok so it smells a little bit. Lol.
Now needle and thread. Everyone can groove on that.
Next up, threading some rims with stainless while Jr is watching Xmas shows. God I love spending quality time with the family.

Red trim and a green zipper, just in time for Christmas. Great Evo owner ingenuity.

Oh man, you should sample my Seafoam tainted, vodka winter glogg! Much better than the my dirtyfinger Amsol & tonic.
Cheers and Merry Yuletide all!
