What some people do not remember is that the early FX bikes had a three point rubber mount that was changed to the two point "Dyna" rubber mount in 91. The early ones were much better in that regard, and the engine did not bounce all over in the frame and had way less vibes. The factory changed to the two point mount Dyna system in 91 as it was much cheaper to produce. That is why the early FX series bikes are much preffered by some.
As far as I know, FXRs all have a Tri-mount system like the FLTs had. The change to a two mount system in 91 was the advent of the Dyna. FXRs didn't change. If they had, we'd all be retrofitting old parts on our newer FXRs.

Yep, FXR's and Dynas are two totally different bikes.
