No idea Graham, but it might be. The pic is really about jumping for joy.

You're irrepressible!

I don't know if this is it, but a pal of mine had a hand in building a similar BSA prototype with a Wankel engine, which over time became the Norton twin rotor bike.

Default Update

Sorry if I missed this somewhere, but any news to report on the Tour Trac installation. Contemplating this as a winter project myself.

You haven't missed anything yet! The front end project has been rather like a snowball, getting bigger over time. It now includes an 18" SG front wheel, plus EBC rotors and pads (Lyndall let me down and couldn't deliver either parts, or any idea of when they would get fresh stock). I also have a Brembo for the rear end, so expect to start work on that end first. I will update in due course, honest!

GR, I'm a bit confused--for the CCE kit, did you send them your stock sliders? Or newer-model sliders to complement your lowers? Are you going with HD Brembos?

Sounds like something I might want to do as well. The rear end on my bike is vastly improved with the Works shocks, and I already have the Ride Str8 brace, so the front end is next.

I have bought 2010 takeoff sliders, which go with my takeoff HD Brembos (front and rear), all of which look like new. That might help explain how and why it has taken me a good while to patiently search and look out for them! To go with my 2010 SG front wheel I also have a 1" front axle.

So once rebuilt my front end will have the original damper rods and that's about it! Oh plus the air manifold system, which I intend keeping, so I can fine tune the ride if that proves worthwhile. My front fender includes a 'new' 2003 - I could go on!!!!

Do you need that with the new lowers, or is it just a nicety?

Hard to fit a brace with cowbells on ... but I suppose you could go with rubber gaitors?

I think they would look OK on a EG.

Do you think the fender needs braced? Is there clearance enough under it for an internal one from the mount holes around the tyre?

If that'd work, then the cool thing to do would be weld a U-section plate inside the fender.

don't understand why you think the fender would need any additional bracing?
