Carb issue that needs a lil help

Did you try and adjust air/fuel mixture screw with the new jet? Does it have any effect when you adjust it?

Nope, not yet but I will try that tomorrow when I get outta work.

It took some adjusting but everything finally worked together! The fast idle worked well and it was running real lean, but I adjusted, took it for a ride and no stalls or stops. When Friday comes around though, I'll start looking for a CV

Glad you figured it out. You didn't even need seafoam. You will appreciate CV upgrade from what I have heard from Shovel owners that have upgraded.

There are a chitload around. Ebay is your best bet to find a used one quick. You can also get a hot cv from there also. It would not surprise me if a sponsor on this forum sells them.

Okay so I got the new CV carb and its a model 27412-99c. I put everything on and it was popping out of the carb. Noticed the carb was going in crooked to the intake manifold so I straightened it out. Well I started it back up and it's idling really fast. I sprayed around the carb to check for leaks --> no difference, messed with the choke *** thinking maybe the choke was just stuck --> no difference, took off the throttle cable --> no difference, and adjusted out the idle screw until it no longer even touches. After trying all these, the idle is still very high on this.

Is there something I am missing?
