Hard to say what happened to that bearing, maybe whatever tool was used to install it had a burr that caught it or something.

I stuck my finger in the bearing to feel how they rolled, and felt the sharp edges.
The chip in the race was at the bottom so the rollers didn't fall out when I removed the cam.

That was unusual luck for me, because my normal luck would of had them fall into the case.

When I removed the bearing, I made sure the tool had the rollers captured in that area.
