Default Exhaust Identification

Trying to identify my slip on mufflers they are tapered type marked with 296 r on rear muffler and 296 f on front muffler. No other identification on them these details are on the mounting brackets of the mufflers. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Mick

Mick, we can think much better with pictures! If you can post a close-up of one of them we will have a better chance of identifying them.

What makes you think they are slip ons? Are they loud? I would like to see a picture of the baffles or looking down in the muffler of the pipe

Definitely not stock as the previous owner also supplied them when I bought the bike, the stock pipes are physically bigger, also Harley branded with noise db rating

Thanks Mick

Unfortunately Harley has been making similar shaped mufflers since the Ark and they have been aped by most exhaust brands over the decades. The reality is that unless there are more clues on them we may forever be in the dark. Take one off and see what more, of anything, you can find. Better still ask the PO?!
