No, just the crime and the drugs....the tourists were a complete surprise

Banito, I second the vote to Colorado. There ain't much happening here in Fla. Sure, you can ride all year 'round and fish, but do a yes/no ledger and there aint much else. Colorado's beautiful any way you look at it and 5 min from your front door and you have the beginnins of a world class ride!

 

Yeah, Blu, I try to stay off US19 as much as possible. Although, Alt-19 was where the first incident happened. We were crossing that little bridge just north of Tarpon.

 

Saturday as I'm riding home, two blocks from the house a dumbass in a BMW convertible comes to a stop at a raid that feeds into the one I was on, looks right at me and pulls out in front of me. I pulled alongside him and flipped him off. Dumbass. I should have put a boot into his door panel. My wife was driving her SUV behind me, watching all thus as it happened.

 

I like watching the tourists, they are the only ones in bikinis in the winter. Don't drink or drug anymore, ah, I miss being young and stupid. The crime? That's why I keep a 40SW close!

You should read all and any books you can find by Tim Dorsey and Carl Hiaasen...then you will love Florida and have places to explore, tracking down where things happened in the books.

FWIW I loved Key West and didn't have a single near miss on the roads....which was a BIG surprise to me!

 

That's the one. I don't especially like those little bridges. Some idiot comes along, aiming straight for you, and you got nowhere to go! But what can you do? This is Florida!

 

Yea, the road narrows and squeezes everyone on that bridge.
