So, I am headed home on the ol' EVO for lunch just a few minutes ago, and I'm going through a 20 mph school zone (lights flashing, summer school).
I get about halfway through, riding in the left 1/3 of the lane, and ol blue hair bat who looks like she's barely alive comes whizzing by me doing about 40-50 mph on the right, same lane! Had to be less than a foot away as she goes by, and looks like she is oblivious to the fact I'm even there. Wow.
Never underestimate cagers, boys! They come in all forms, and a lot of them shouldn't have a liscence!
Ride safe.

Yeah buddy, they're out there. Years ago while sitting at a red light on my 1976 dresser, an old woman came by on my right, barley clipping my saddle bag rails while blowing through the red light.
She did stop on the other side of the light to see if I was hurt. I asked if she had been drinking or what and she said no, that she was looking for something in her purse. I advised her that it was just by luck that she didn't kill me & my GF.
She was pretty shock up so I just told her to be more careful and focus on her driving.
I finally got my wife on the back for the first time yesterday. We rode down to the sponge docks to get something to eat with some friends. On the way home we were crossing a two lane bridge and some moron in a red suburban came full on into our lane, both tires crossing the yellow line about 75 yards ahead of us, fortunately his passenger pointed towards us and the driver pulled back to the right side in time to avoid killing us.
About 10 min later on US19 a silver SUV in the lane to our right wondered across the line into our lane. He looked right at me and didn't even bother to acknowledge me before pulling back into his lane.
Time will tell if wifey will get back on again, at least we weren't hurt, thank God.
Glad you guys are OK. I was parked in a designated parking spot when a blu hair came straight for me and turned and parked next to me . Got out and said she never saw me.
I believe Fla is the worst but GA runs a close 2nd.

Yea Buddy! You know US19 is the most dangerous way around here. A lot of NASCAR wannabes, and a lot of old people that forgot how to drive 20 years ago. ALT-19 is a nicer ride and safer.
Living in nebraska with mostly 2 lanes isnt all it is cracked up to be either. Farm equipment, farmers driving slow looking at their crops(not the road). Ever meet a truck load of hay? Defensive driving on and off bike and yes like you say expect the unexpected.
