Default Starter relay ground wire location?

88 FLST with Heartland 250 conversion. The plastic piece on the front lower portion of the rear fender where the relay and main cb were mounted is replaced with what they call a rock guard. I call it the front/lower rear fender. So I made a bracket to mount the relay and main cb in approximately the same location. Now I have to find a new spot to terminate the frame ground wire. Can someone tell me where it was grounded in the stock set-up? I took a lot of pre disassembly pics but unfortunately none show the location of that ground wire. Thanks!

Thank you! Do you mean one of the long through bolts that attach the starter? I can pull off the chrome cover and one of the nuts holding on the bracket to the transmission and terminate it there. What do you think?

You have 2 bolts that attach your starter to the inner primary.
The front one is easier to get to.

I don't think either has a chrome cover.

I'm talking about the round chrome cover on the end of the starter. It has to be removed to access the 2 long bolts that connect the starter to the inner primary. To me they seem equally accessible but the rear bolt is closer to the relay. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding. I really appreciate the help.

Look between the starter and the top of the tranny and you should see an allen head bolt on the inside of the inner primary.

That is what we are talking about.

I think it is a 1/4-20 bolt.

Nope I'm wrong it is bigger than 1/4-20 but I don't remember what size it is.
