Default Solo seats?

Since my fiance just got her own sportster, I am looking to save some money and buy a solo seat rather than getting a full 2-up touring seat. The issue is I only have one screw hole in my fender. I am looking at the Mustang 75757 seat, any idea how they mount up? Would I need to purchase anything additional?

I'm assuming you have a Softail, if so the solo seat mounts using 2 tabs (one on each side). Your frame has threaded holes that it bolts to. Yours may have a plastic plug covering the hole if it's not visible. They are located just forward of the fender struts. You just need two bolts and washers to mount it

I did a search on it and on some pics it just doesn't show the tabs on the solo seat. As stated above on a softail there are holes in the frame for attaching it.

I'm at work now, and can't measure the bike, but IIRC, they are 1/2-13 x 1" button head cap screws. I'll check when I get home and edit this if I'm wrong.

I rechecked last night, the correct bolt size is 1/2-13 x 3/4" long. Well, I was close.

Found the screw holes. Any thoughts on the seat I am looking to order? It should be pretty comfortable right?

They are a quality seat but everyone has a different need and what one likes another doesn't. I've found that Corbin's work for me but others will tell you that Mustang is better. It's just a matter of personal preference.

Pulled the trigger for 250 bucks. I'll try it and see how it feels, and go from there. It must be better than the piece of crap on there now.

I've heard Mustangs just take a little seat time to break in. I know that seat is on a lot of bikes.

The seat I have now is like sitting on plywood. After 30 minutes it's pretty uncomfortable.

Mustang Wide Vintage Solo with back rest, add an AirHawk R and you're riding a LaZBoy
