Default After the storm...

Well we just had our 3 week winter here in NZ....rain, rain, rain, gales, wind, rain, more rain, Gales a bit more rain and even more rain...

Mrs Spanners and I developed cabin fever and the cat has been asleep for a fortnight...and then today about 2pm the sun came out as the bad shitty weather headed south (out towards Kees's place ) so I blew the dust off the Lowrider and headed out to see a mate who has a shed full of Evos...an FXR, a Softie and an Ultima Hardtailed Project.....shot the breeze for a bit and then get a panic-stricken text from the Mrs saying the son-in-law was having a bad reaction to a Wasp sting.....I gave 1st Aid advice over the phone and told her I was heading back as I had some Prednisone in my jacket for this very purpose.

Rode like a bastard all the way home (20 miles) to find the Ambo was there and he was hooked up to Oxygen, Adrenaline and Steroids!!

More drama than I needed but he will be fine as long as he carries an Epi-Pen with him for the rest of his life.

I had decided that if the Cops tried to stop me I would keep riding and explain later....right now I wish I still smoked but I will settle down soon enough....once this beer starts to work....

Some heavy chit, man! Hope all ends well. I'm allergic to Aspirin & penicillin & can feel his pain. When my wife & I first got together, I failed to tell her about my allergies & she gave me some Advil for a headache & I went into Anaphylactic Shock. Ended well but I kid her to this day about trying to send me into the hereafter.

Ride safe,
Harold

Yeah, its a worry when it happens, gotta pick him up from the Hospital at 10pm tonight as he is in for 6 hours observation.....if he leaves Epi-Pens lying around like he does sunglasses then he will need a box of a dozen!!!

Epi-Pens are a common thing around this house. Between the wiffy and 2 grandchildren highly allergic to Bee and Wasp stings we know them well. 2 years ago the wife was visiting a patient ( home hospice service) when she got a bee sting on the neck. epi pen way outta date she took it anyhow and headed for home. She had to, stop call daughter and our girl went to her and took her to emergency room. It can be way serious was told 20 more min. and _______

Glad he's ok and I drank full sixpack that night. LOL

He is 100% NZ Redneck....."alright" has to be taken in context... he can still drink, swear and wield a chainsaw so I guess he is fine....
