My old electra glide is missing the air baffle that attaches to the lower triple tree. Is this worthwhile to replace ? How much difference does it make?
Thanks in advance , Evan D.
This bike had been wrecked . I assuming that the baffle was damaged and never got replaced . Would anybody remove one for another reason ? Any advantage to not having one ? I've been riding for over 40 years but this is my first fairing/ windshield.
That part goes back a very long time, but H-D stopped installing them on recent bikes a few years ago, hence there is a debate, in the Touring forum, over if that baffle does any good or not. My 1990 bike has one and, having owned it from new, I am not about to take it off to see what good it does!

But Harley does sell them as an accessory.
I think they wanted the extra accessory money instead of giving them away.
I bought one for my '07 Ultra. I think it pushes the air away from me but directs it to the front of the engine.
