Help diagnosing engine bog with fuel coming from carb...
The story:
-1994 Dyna WG with Mikuni HSR42
-Was running great a few days ago.
-The bike bogged down on me like it was running out of fuel a few days ago. I blipped the throttle a few times and it came out of it. A couple hundreds yards down the road it happened again and came out of it. It ran great for a couple of days after.
-I fueled up the other day. Right after it did it again and continues to do so. It starts right up, idles well, and will run great for a few hundred feet. Then it bogs down, backfires through the carb, and has no power. I also noticed tonight that the carb side of the motor was covered with fuel coming out of the sir cleaner.
Any ideas?
The bike has new plugs, plug wires, coil, and battery. The charging system is functioning properly. It starts and idles, so I'm assuming it's not a spark issue. This leads me to fuel and the carb. No?
