Check those ignition switches!
His passenger was off of the bike, and I rode by and did a U-turn.
Gent says, "the lights keep cutting off and on, and it dies every now and then" so I say, sounds like a dirty or worn out ignition switch.
He starts it (takes a couple of tries) and rides it to my house. We remove the ignition switch, and, sure enough, one of the contacts is REALLY corroded.
He sands it clean, dielectric grease, reinstalls it, and varoom, started right up!
I got their name and address so I can send them a bill....

You mean you finally listened to me on how to clean electrical parts?

Or did that guy show you?
Either way have you gone back inside yours and cleaned the dirty contacts yet?
Yea, yea, blar, blar ......... I guess I never did tell you, I disassembled my switch, and it was cleaner than clean....... even had DG in it. Thanks for the suggestion though. It may have saved a fellow rider some coin.......

Here's how to remove the dash panel to be able to access the contacts to be cleaned:
(I imagine your bike will have a similar way to dismount the dash panel)
