I bought a used HD center stand for my 97 FLH, I've already bought it, so I don't need to know that some other make of stand is better.
The price was right.
Does anyone happen to have instructions for installing this, in the back of the junk drawer, or any knowledge of how to install it?

No idea if this is the same, but mine mounts up front, under the engine guard.. Check this pic, zoom in if you can.. If its the same thing, shoot me a PM with your email and I'll get you some good pic's tomorrow.. No instructions, but not rocket science if it mounts the same way...
my brother had one on his 98 flht but it mounted up under the bike about mid way , grab the seat handle & foot on bar pull it right up on it easy , set on bike rock forword & come right off the stand

Thanks for the reply.
I don't think mine is like yours, ( it's still in the mail) I think it fits in the usual spot.
If not I'll definitely send you a PM.
According to my 2000 Harley-Davidson Accessories catalog, the only thing that resembled a center stand was their Chrome Display Stand. The part number is 99002-97 (updated to 99002-97A) and fits 97 and later touring models. This unit bolts onto the front by the engine crash bar. As far as I know, this is the only unit the The MoCo offered. The aftermarket produced more traditional center stands for the Touring line.

Can't help ya there, but take the part number and do an internet search.
Well it turns out you're right, it is a front mount display stand.
Not what I thought it was, but it'll do for now.
I found the installation instructions, with the part number posted here.
So am good to go.
Thanks all.
