I had the exact same Ultra, color and everything....Ran 65,000 miles in 4 years, even with a hopped up motor. Damn near bulletproof (even with the MM injection.) Go get it.
I would think around 6k around here, you would probably see them on Craigslist for 10K. Your hardest part my be trying to get a good deal from the guy selling his baby while accepting that fact his riding days are over.
I did look at it last year when I was doing a job by him.
I happened to see him and got his number and he said he was going to sell it. I am going by again so I can take my time looking at it.
I wanted to see what price range it should go for. I will offer a lower price and see if he takes it. If not I will look at something newer and closer to what I have saved up.
Offer 3000.00 to the wife and you will probably own it !
This is better than a big buck barn find ., go for it big time !
Its your choice to deal accordingly with these folks.?
I was finally able to talk with him today since he is back in town. Tires are about 3 years old and the bike does have less than 6k miles on it and he said this last year he did only put $200 on it and then a few months back he took it up to Napa to store it in his hanger with his plane.
He was asking for $9850 and after talking to him about the price for a while he said if you come over with $6500 you can have it, I couldn't get him to go any lower. He told me there still are no leaks or anything wrong with the bike at all.
Now I just need to decide if I should do this or keep looking.
