I picked up an 07 Electra just before winter hit. I've had a bit of free time and was poking around ebay for a set of V&H true duals but I'm noticing that while many claim to fit an 07 Electra Classic some have the o2 sensor port and some don't?
SO My question is. Do ALL 07 Electra Classic's have an o2 sensor that go into the pipes? I'd hate to loose out on a good deal, but I'd hate to buy the wrong part even more (I'd walk over and look for myself but it would take too long, I'm in Europe and my bike is in Toronto )
Also. I know the Power commander requires you to cap off the 02 sensor. Does the V&H Fuelpak also require that? (got a deal on one of those a couple weeks ago)
oh! One more thing. Will the true duals from an 09 Road King function properly on my 07 Electra. I don't think fitment will be an issue but I'm not sure about fuel mapping since the pipes are routed differently.
*On the 07 the rear is routed left and back on the 09 the rear is routed straight back on the right side and the front goes back and across the bike under it.
I don't believe any '07 touring bikes had O2 sensors, they were introduced in 2008. However the '08 bikes were introduced around August '07, so there will be many '08 models sold during the latter part of '07. An '08 system will fit earlier bikes and in fact the system on my 1990 bike below is an '08, with blanking plugs in the O2 holes.
As for fitting an '09 system on your bike I believe it has been done, but not as a simple bolt-on. Take a look around in the Touring section, where you should have more luck getting to the bottom of that!
Interesting! They don't show up in the parts book, so these bikes may be a late model revision, prior to the '08 launch? Who knows. For a replacement system an '08 should work, if and when the time comes.

The O2 sensors are in my parts book. That said, I've only had this bike since mid summer 2014. I ordered the 3 manuals at the same time(Maintenance, parts, electrical diagnostics) it is possible they could be revisions, I'm not sure. I'd copy the page but it's 300 miles from me😊
