Default Cobra 2-1

Dropped the bike at a new Indy shop for pipe and tune. Picked it up a week later. The Cobra 2into1 sounded good coming around the building and then I got a close look at it. The front heat shields end, then about an inch of exposed pipe, then the collector heat shield and muffler. It looks like the top shield in particular is not cut right. It's way up against the cylinder. The collector shield is not really adjustable more than about a half inch each way and it is forward as far as it could go. It looks like some really poor QC at Cobra, and I can't believe these guys would call me and tell me this bike was done. Left it there. Starting to think I would have been better off paying the stealer.

Sorry about that. I thought I would pick up the bike and be out of there. I didn't think I would need a camera and I don't carry a fancy smart phone.

Are you sure the fault likes with Cobra? I am about to change systems on my built 95" Deuce and have spent hours reading and listening and while Cobra does not carry the V&H name, everything I have read about fit, finish and sound has been very positive.

The Cobra stuff we have dealt with at the shop has been of good quality (much better than V&H) and we have not had issues at all. It sounds like the heat shield needs to be adjusted to close the gap. Loosen the worm clamps and adjust it, it should not be all the way up against the head. It sounds like your installer lacked care to make it right...
