Top End Noise

I have a '03 FLHRC with 27,500 miles and I just installed a stage 1 big bore kit(no cams, just cylinders and pistons). I seem to have more valve noise than before. Did I do (or not do something) wrong? There has always been the rattle and clacking since new, but now it seems louder. Everything looked good when I had it apart. Should I be worried about this or is it normal? Anyone have suggestions or ideals what is going on?[/align] [/align] Thanks[/align] [/align] John[/align]

I have heard many times that the big bore kits make the bike a bit noisier. I have a stage II 95" and its pretty noisy as well.

Did you also install a more open air cleaner (like a screaming eagle or ness big sucker)? More noise will escape through those than the stock setup.

Did you get adjustable pushrods too? If not...maybe the cylinders are taller? If you gat adjustable...they could be too short. Maybe need an adjustment.

I wouldn't say this noise is normal! I did a 95" kit a few years ago with SE heads, jugs, 211 cams & 10.5-1 pistons and I never experienced any additional"noise". All I experienced was more vibration through the whole bike but never any noises. Something doesn't sound right?
