Default Rinehart Question

I have a 2014 SGS. I want to replace the stock mufflers but keep the OEM head pipes.
Will the Rinehart 3.5" slip ons be louder or quieter than the their 4" slip ons?
I dont want to get overly loud just want to hear that 103 rumble a little, at an idle it sounds downright wimpy.

Also can someone tell me what size the inlet is on the stock 2014 103 system.

I've heard them both, they can both be loud but totally different tone.

The 3.5" is raspy, more shrill and higher pitch. The 4" is a much deeper bass tone.

I think technically the 4" would be louder by SPL, but to me the 3.5" seems louder, up close anyway. Personally I like my 4" rineharts better, the deeper sound feels more authentic, like what a Harley should sound like. But there are a ton of guys with the 3.5" who are happy with them.

Mine can be reserved if I take it easy, but grab a handful of throttle and they definitely bark!

Also, I believe the stock headers are 1-3/4", but don't quote me on that.

I think if you check Rinehart's website, they have the 3.5” listed for ’95 to ’09 and the 4” for ’95 to current. I have the 4" on my 2015 SGS with the stock head pipes. I like the sound, but the slimline dual head pipes are on my list of future purchases.
