What do you guys think of these thunder torque inserts? Will I have to get a tune after pulling the baffle and cat out?
They're more or less like the lollipop guys have been using for years, an aid to help a drag pipe or poorly designed exhaust gain some of its low end torque back. After pulling the baffle and cat out , you'll defiantly need to tune it.
Yup.
Back in the day of the Samson Rip-Saws, Groundpounders, White Bros. Poker Pipes etc, etc etc, we used to manufacture 6061-T6 aluminum "Torque Nozzles" that were installed near the end of those giant 2 1/4" pipes.
They had a 10* taper, and a dedicated thru hole dimension(that could be machined at the time of dyno tuning).
Really helped those rediculous "power killers" that would haved served better purpose under someones kitchen sink.
