Sorry AWhiskey I had to piggy back off of your post! But is my dilemma. I got a used 2012 Street Glide with SE air cleaner and Rinehart 3.5" slipons mufflers. I'm thinking about getting new Slipons, I'm thinking that the Harley shop tuned the bike because I looked under the left cover and no aftermarket tuner. Now, If I change just the mufflers would I have to get the bike retuned?
I guess I found out my answer from the Harley shop, but if anyone else has info on my question please let me know. But local Harley shop said seeing that I have se ac and Rinehart slipons and the Harley shop where the other guy bought it had it tuned I would have to have it retuned just for slipons, only if I was changing the head pipes!

That's probably correct. If you are having problems with the bike running now before the new slipons, then I would get it tuned after the new slip-ons.

Sorry I would not have to have the bike retuned just replacing justbthe slipons, retune it if I replace head pipes! The bike runs great, but really like mufflers a little louder! But maybe one of the problems I cants hear the mufflers riding is I have a 3.5 windshield on bike and Ive got so much wind buffering my head looks like a bobble head, may have to replace windshield

you want it louder, pull the baffles out of the rineharts. Or remove the baffle wrap from the rineharts and put the baffle back in.

THIS IS THE WAY TO GO!! removing the wrap that is, if you remove the baffles completely, may not run like you like it, but removing the wrap is a very common practice.
