Default Just Add Slip Ons?

Brand new to the forum and brand new to HD after several other brands, I finally made the leap. My question is...if you just add slip on mufflers do you have to recalibrate anything. Looking at Rinehart or Vance and Hines slip ons just to get a little more rumble. I have asked at my purchasing dealership and one area, parts, says you have to recalibrate and the service dept. says that as long as you dont touch the air filter you do not need to. I have searched the forum and still am confused as I was told anything that adjusts air intake or adding modules will affect warranty and to wait two years before doing it (dealership). I have also read that on the new engines that going to true duels will decrease performance. This seems to be a really grey area but at this point I just want to add slip ons and since I am broke after the purchase want to do it at minimal cost but do not want to do something that will cause problems long term.Any help appreciated.

I'm going through the same deal on my '07 1200 custom, I plan on the V&H slip-on's. Most guys are saying the slip-ons won't affect the tuning, or because it is a closed loop it will adjust in about 50 miles. It shouldn't hurt the bike just get bad gas mileage. My brother has been riding his nighttrain since last year and he only did the exhaust, it's an 06 with efi. Hope that helps, keep ya posted.

From my experience if you add only the slipons you should be ok....as long as you dont change the A/C.

slip ons only don't need anything. Change the air to a high perf like K&N, SE etc. then you need a remap/rejet
