Pipe stuck to head

Recently went to chase an air leak and decided that I should pop off my pipes and check flanges for flatness and pop a new gasket it. Loosened everything up and got rear off no problem. Get everything loose on the front, pull back the flange and try to pop of the pipe. No budging. Not even a little. Not wedged anywhere, everying loosened. Nuts came off no problem. No issue with studs. I installed the pipes, new, about a year or so back. VH shorts shots on a 97 dyna. I wrapped a towel and tapped with a mallet. No dice. I was afraid to use any PB blaster-just didnt want to get that inside engine.

Go on and use the PB, you won't hurt anything. I would put a couple layers of blue painter's tape around the frame rails before I got to pulling hard on the header though. It went on, it'll come off.

do you have a lower clamping mount, in the area under the cam cover?? did you miss another mount somewhere? PB blaster wont hurt anything, just dont let it sit on paint for too long.
