I have a 2007 nightster which has 600 miles on it.
I went to start it and it backfired once and died.
it has been at the dealer since and they haven't been able to get it to run. They called harley but now have another one in there with the same problem.
They replaced the crank sensor and the computer.
anyone else have this problem?
If so, did your dealer get it fixed.
I'm just about ready to dump the nightster.
Since the Nightster shares components with the other Sporties, and this isn't a Sporty issue, but a Nightster issue (seemingly), my money is on a misrouted wire or something similar, not on an electrical component shared by the entire Sporty lineup.
the bike has plenty of power.
it fires every time just wont start and run.
my dealer is lost and is now just throwing all kinds of parts at it in an attempt to get it running.
i didn't know about the fuel pumps. thanks.
when i checked the plugs they were burnt completely black.
i'll check with the dealer and see if they know about the fuel pump problem.i doubt they do. not real smart there.
