I have a pro pipe on my 2018 Fat Bob. Although it performs well, quality has gone downhill compared to years past. Have had V&H on two previous softails, one I still own.
Current pipe has sloppy welds, chipping paint on mounting bracket, corroding finish on muffler, and now has developed a rattling baffle. Pretty poor for a little over two years and 9000 miles.
Yes, I scratched muffler remounting shield after removal to determine cause of rattle. Originally thought it was from heat shield. Wasnt too careful as muffler already looks like s##t!
i have used their exh in the past and when issue arose like cracking welds, they replaced the pipes and i was not the original owner.
the type of coating you have is prone to these issues. i doubt seriously most really take care of these painted types since they are not shinny as chrome. all it take is a tiny sand peck to start the process.

Vance & Hines sent me a brand new muffler today for my pro pipe. It was well past warranty, even though I did have issues during warranty period, just never acted on it. Nice to know they stand behind their products.
