Default 2005 Softail Standard EFI / Python 3

I Have a stock FXSTI and I am buying a set of Python 3 exhaust with mounting hardware. the dealership is giving me crap about laying out another 500$ for a chip to be able to use the pipes. Is there a better and cheaper solution for me to be able to put the pipes on my bike. Also can I get advice on what kit to get for the air cleaner, especially one that will work best with the pythion 3 exhaust without having to buy a chip. I have been advised by my tech to get a terminal velocity 2 and weld it to my new opipes to bypass buynig the tuner from harley any advice on the producct especially any problems you may have had.

Your most economical bet would be Screaming Eagle air kit plus a PowerCommander. You would then not need the flash. The SE air kit is about $150, and the PowerCommander about $270 (www.easternperformance.com). You can do it yourself in a matter of 30 minutes. It is simple.

You can also save a bit more by going with the Ness Big Sucker air kit. I've heard most people like those and they are about $80.

jdag is right, you can also just get a stage 1 remap from the dealer fot $150 scoots, then but the Arlen Ness big sucker kit, you can also just do nothing and run the pipesas long as you don't change the AC kit out from stock, but if your like me you want be satisfied with that, let's see, do the remap and AC kit, then later when money is no problem buy the PCIII usb and give it a little more zip.
