Default 2008 FatBoy engine question

I have a brand new 2008 FatBoy. I've made no mods yet. I'm still in brea in mode and have noticed that after a short ride, the
engine stays warm for 2 + hours. Is this normal? Also, the pipes seem to be bluing under the heat shields.

FYI, my 2007 Sporty would have cooled off after an hour.

Looking for any useful input/info. tkx. I will take it back to the stealer if necessary.

You have a lot more mass on your new bike than the Sporty had so it will take longer to cool.
