Stage 1 ?

I am new to the F.I. style bikes. What does a stage 1 mean on.F.I.s?

It is nothing more than changing the air-screaming eagle or something else-that will allow more air into the engine. It is also required to add some type of fuel manger to richen the mixture. A complete stage one consist of pipes, air box w/filter other than the paper one, and fuel manger. Some like the plug and play like the vance and hines fuelpax or the pc lll. Hope this helps. I am no gear head just read a lot.
