Fatboy exhaust fitment different between the 2010 model and 2012 model ?

Fatboy exhaust fitment different between the 2010 model and 2012 model ?

Hi,
I've looked at the Cobra el diablo 2-1 exhaust for my 2010 fatboy and it says it only fits up to 2010... Then the next model is for 2011 - 2012 upwards.

For some strange reason the 2010 pipe has more of an swept muffler, and the 2012 + has a lower, straighter muffler which I really prefer..... Is this just an Optical Illusion?? Or are they actually shaped differently??

Aside from 02 sensor bungs, can I fit the 2012 pipe on my 2010 bike?

They both look "straight" from here

The rear hanger bracket for both bikes is 65399-07 ( goes back to `07)
So I don`t see a difference in mounting point location to accommodate an "upsweep"
