Hey,
I posted in the General Chat forum earlier, and no fix. I have a sporty with a 1200 kit, AC, and exhaust. I have a vibration-like noise coming from the front cylinder area, though I am not convinced it is internal. The bike runs very strong (no missing or anything) and the noise only comes around at higher rpm's, I am guessing around 3500 or so. On the suggestions from General Chat, I checked all the bolts and nothing is loose, including the horn bracket. So, I am thinking it might be a rocker arm, but would also think it would make moise at all engine speeds. Any guesses as to what might be my problem?
Thanks, I am guessing it is nothing too serious since the bike still runs great, I am just obcessing(sp) about the sound.
Joe
Did you check the heat shields? With it running all you can hold a screwdriver between the pipe and the shield (on the inside of the chrome). Sometimes those hose clamps come loose and the heat shield will make a vibration type sound.
