2006 Deuce exhuast question

Default 2006 Deuce exhuast question

Hey I just bought a band new deuce fuel injected and I want to out a nice set of pipes on it. I was looking at the "Joker Machine" chopper pipes. they really look awesome and I was wondering if any one is familiar with these pipes. I want to know if they would be a good choice to puit on my bike and I think I also need to buy the screamin eagle race tuner kit to put exhaust on. I was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on what i have to do and also if these ipes would be a good choice and if there is any other fuel injection kit besides screamin eagle that would work on my bike??

The Joker Chopper pipes are loud, and put the noise where it'll bother you if you travel any distance. They'll not perform as well as many other pipes, especially in the normal riding rpm range. If you go to their site you'll see a rpm vs hp chart that compares their pipes to some other un-named pipes.

First off, for street riding the hp is secondary to torque. They don't show torque, and probably because the torque curve looks like most drag pipes, with a big dip right in the rpm range where you spend most of your time. Secondly, there is so much difference in the two hp curves presented that I'd think some monkey business was goin' on, such as the brand x pipes are stuffed with fried taters. The impression is that their pipes are responsible for the huge increase in horsepower. That's only possible if the brand x pipes were purposefully chosen for their ineficiency with that particular motor.

To sum it up: These pipes are lookers. And their advertising is way misleading. For me, that last is a killer when it comes to giving someone my money.

thanks for the advice on that. I was also thinking of the V&h big radius pipes. they have a nice look to them as well but i am not sure how they sound. I do want the pipes to be deep and load and I want that back presure noise in between shifts i like when they suck in when you let off the gas. A guy a know his bike sounded awesome and I think he had vanes and hines but i am not sure. i am just looking for a deep load nice sounding pipe what do you think of the v&h?

The V&H and in the same catagory of pipes, If you are looking for performance then you need a pipe that is using a cross over and is a baffled style pipe. SUch as a pro pipe, SE slip ons, thunder header, but to keep your tq up you need to shy away from the "look" style pipes. If you after loud and are ok with giving up 10-20 tq in the low rpm range where you really need the tq then buy what ever pipe you want.


A drag style pipe is just that made for drag racing, they are designed for rpm range above 3500 that works great at the strip, but not very well on the street. And I have to agree about the dyno sheets, unless you are there to see what was done I would not hold much value in the dyno sheets they are using to seel there product.
