SE 258 Cam

Is the SE 258 cam too much for the 103 big bore with stock heads (2008)? Looking for strong mid-range torque.

Yes I think that it is. I have a 07 with a 103 and performance heads, stroker pistons and a 258 cam. I had to install a race tuner to get it to run under 3000 rpm. The 258 cam is a high end cam that will run at high rpms and high speed, but for everyday use it sucks. I am thinking about getting rid of it and going to a 257 or 255 cam.
