Do you choke each time you start? My bike sits for a good 4-7 hours once I get to work, do i use the enrichment each time I start it? If i dont i would have to keep gassing it until it warms up, otherwise it dies, but once its slightly warm, it stays runnning.
I always have to choke to start when it's cold.
The key to its use is to get the choke off as fast as you can , while having it be safely rideable.
When my bike had the stock jetting , I had to choke it for a while longer than I do now.
After I was done jetting the carb , the choke gets used alot less and I can ride with no choke in about a minute.
My jet combo is in my sig at the bottom.
Just get it off as fast as you can , you'll get the feel of it pretty quickly.

Let me know.
After four to seven hours the engine is probably cold. Full choke to get it started, then wean to half choke, then no choke.Let it idle a couple of minutes to warm up...less carb farts. If theengine is warmed up it should start right up without choke. After an hour or two you will problbly need half choke to start. You will get the hang of it after awhile.
