new guy help
I do havetwo questions and i will try to be descriptive as possible with out rambling. Also, do forgive me if I miss-name something, for some reason I forget names of parts. The bike I am referring to is an 05 dyna low rider. the only thing not stock is the carb. it is a S&S super e.
First question, i noticed this morning that on the banjo bolts where the t shaped vacuum lines run, there looks like a small oil leak. On both sides around the spacers and all and on the vacuum lines where they connect. I am suspecting it is just the breather bolts are starting to come loose. does that sound right?
the second one is, after installing the carb, i took the pipes and cut out the cross member and turned them into straight pipes. I also dropped off the ends to complete the straight pipe effect. but I did install power cones to keep back pressure. The problem is that when i get on the throttle, it does take off and does not feel like it being held back, it just doesnt feel like the torque is there anymore. any thoughts?
thanks to all in advance. If you need anymore info, please let me know.
As far as your low end loss, you ruined your pipes, you should have just stuck on a pair of slip on mufflers, making it loud doesn't nessesarily make it fast, you may be able to rejet the carb to regain some power, but I'd replace the whole exhaust system with something with a baffle in it.
tourqe cones don't do squat!
