Default looking to go BIG

Hi everyone I'm new here so want to say hi. Anyway, I'm getting ready to build my deuce its a 03 with SE II pipes, SE AC and thats it. I have got my SE cylinders, dome SE forged high compression pistons, and looking for a good cam to porvide good low and middle range power with good street manners and reliably for everyday riding.

Also, I have stock heads with .600 lift springs. Any help would be great I'm thinking about going with the S&S 570G cams

Your compression is going to be around 9.6:1 according to SE cataloge unless you deck heads. This is going to be at the low end for the 570 and coupled with smaller ports afraid the 570 would fall flat. You might think about Andrews 26 in a gear or maybe 31's. If going to all this trouble it would be a shame not to get a street port done to your heads at least. I love the 570 but need 10:1 or will be flat on low end.

I agree with Jlockhart that the compression should be increased to around 10 to 1 and the quench should be set at around .035 at the same time. If going to gear drive I like the new RR525 cam. Great torque cam.[/align]

I have a similar set up (same pistons) Andrews 37g is working great here. I would also look at the Woods 6G.
