O2 bung location
Just got my Vance and Hines BSS intalled and I was reading about the rear o2 bung relocation on the Tmax site.On my softail the rear bung points in between the brace (coil mount) on the frame and the cylinder. I ask because the stock o2's are shorter than tmax units, butit looks likethe rear o2 sensorwill go in and just clear. Where was the problem with the rear tmax o2 sensors not fitting?

If you can get them in and they dont hit anything, you are good to go. There were some issues with a few pipes that the sensor hit the top of the tranny due to the extra length. This was the sensors used in both the T-Max and DTT tuning systems. There was also an issue with the front sensor on Rinehart TDs hitting the oil filter/cooler adapter if the bike was equipped with the HD Premium oil cooler.A few of the manufaturers have now taken this into consideration but bottom line is if the sensor hits something, you need to move the bung.
