I just bought these for my Road King. I am in the process of putting them on. I will get a measurement for you when I head back out to the garage.

.440 diameter on the rod itself.
.535 on the adjuster nut.

Hope that helps,

Roger

Thanks, I have some Zipper's adj rods, which contact upper push rod tube, SoI have to move rocker arm plate closer to cam side of engine to avoid contact. You should check your clearance.

Haven't got that far yet, but these are supposed to be sure fit replacements. Are the Zippers rod diameter larger than the Screamin' Eagles? The SE's come with new rod tubes that are different (longer) than stock. Although some of the original parts are reused.

The Zippers are slimmer at the top fatter in the middle, The rod tubes you got are shorter so you can hold up covers with clothes pin during adjustment.

Mine are in. Does not seem to have any kind of clearance issues. They worked out great. Yes, I could hold up the tubes with a clamp to adjust them.
