I had the gear drive cam and bearings put in my newly purchased 2000 Road King(23,000 miles). The dealer downloaded a new map and now it pops pretty bad on deceleration. I already had after market pipes and stage one air cleaner before the cam mod. It didn't pop before. Dealer says live with it or install Sert or Power Commander. All I want is a cruiser that runs as it should and extra power is not a concern. Recomendations? First Harley and it is turning into a nightmare. I hear that the 2006's have problems as well. What's with this company?

It really depends on what you want at of your Road King and what your definition is of running "good"
any vehicle properly tuned will normally get a deceleration pop when making maximum power. When you cut your throttle off for deceleration you will always end up with spent gas in the exhaust creating a poppuing. Now how extreme the popping is may be to much hor to little.
