what is the smallest bore size that can be used with a 4.625 crank in a twin cam?

I believe that 4.125 axtells are the only and smallest kits i have seen. That would give a 124. What size were you looking for?

My 120 is 4.625 x 4.065.

You "could" do just about anything you want, but you may have to have some pistons custom made.

What are you trying to accomplish?

was thinking about using a 4.625 crank with a 3.75 bore size (102 ci)(if possible) but after looking into it piston and ring life will suffer. I am just looking to build a twin cam combo that makes 80-90hp and 110-115 torque. thought that a long-stroke small bore would be the ticket, but I guess thats what i get for thinking...

Those number can be done with a 95 kit easy. Even better IMHO would be a nice 103 kit with good* heads and tw6 cam if money of a stroker is not a problem. The stroke helps with the lowend tq. That build delivers! I just finished one and was amazed of the results. Reliability would not be a problem at all!

This is just a generic all around great build. It can be taylored to how you ride if need be. However, dont think i met anyone that would complain about it at all.

your number are easy for 95 ci tc but if you want mountain towing torque a big arm is what you need.If I was going into the cases any way Id either install a big bore or go to 4 inch bore .Its not the cubic inches that hurt motors its the use of the power. If you build big motor with mild cam and moderate compression longeverty should not be problem
