Default Jetting Question

I recently put a V&H 2 into 1 exhaust on my Night Train and was told (by someone I don't consider an expert) that this exhaust would lean it out, and that I should change the jetting right away. My question is, is this true? And if it is, how much would this exhaust lean it out....mildly, or engine damage? Also, last year it was running a little rich with the drag pipes on it. Thanks for any advice you could pass along.

Gus.

Th only way to tell for sure is to put on dyno with AFR checked. You could also check the plugs, but sometimes that wont tell the whole story.

2 into 1 pipes flow a lot different than drag pipes, so jetting might be in order..

Baggerdsm is right on here, Iwill add that drag pipes have less back pressure that the V&H 2~1, usually (when all things are done correctly) more back pressure will richen the mixture. The AFR sniffer on the Dyno is your best bet to tell you what needs to be done with your AFR.

If you have extra money spend it on a good tuner / dyno man. If you got $10 and a screw driver you probably could get thing pretty close with some new jets. Drag pipes to v&h would make her run a little rich which IS NOT GOING TO HURT THE MOTOR. What jets are in her now?

I had a tuner install a S&S carb and the drag pipes at the same time when the bike was new...2 years ago. So,I couldn't really tell you what's in there for jets now. I was mainly worried about leaning it out too much. I guess I will just have himput it on the dyno again. Thanks a lot for the tips..
