O/K, this has been discussed many times, but I read the catalog details very closely, so:
#29773-02B in SE section of HD web site and says........Re-designed backing plate with Integral Breather and filter does not require oiling (meaning paper filter I guess).
#29440-99C in SE Pro Race Parts downloaded catalog says.......Cast backing plate with Individual Breathing Tubes to minimize oily residue and washable filter (meaning K&N I guess).
Both kits above seem to be able to use #29510-05 Chrome backing plate, that has Integral Breather.
So, is Integral Breather on the Redesigned Backing Plate (#29773-02B) an improvement over Individual Breathing Tubes (#29440-99C), while #29440-99C seems to give you a K&N filter.
My dealer says these kits give a little oily mess, but a friend of mine with #29773-02B says no drips and very very little oily residue, easy to wipe A/C cover inside clean once in a while.
I ask this since I have a 103 Stroker kit being done and not sure if one A/C kit works better than the other. The catalog says my 103 Stroker kit will get a SE Pro A/C kit #29440-99C.
