08 SE ROAD KING RUNNING PROBLEMS
My dad just put Rinehart true duals, a heavy breather, and a race tuner. It was all installed at the dealer, and put on a dyno to make a custom map. He got it back and it sounds amazing, but itis running terrible. It has a low end surge, and backfires multiple times when you are coming up to a stop. He took it back to the dealer and the tech spent another day with it on the dyno and said he adjusted it as far as he could, but it still does the same things. Has anyone else had these problems, and if so what did you do? Any input would be much appreciated, my dad is absolutly sick over the whole thing. Thanks \\; \\; \\; \\; Rick

From the perspective of the factory, his warranty is voided anyway, so what is the difference?
It is sad, but he will just have to chalk it up to experience and find a person who can actually set up the EMS for that running gear. Obviously that shop does not have such a person on staff.

Yup had similiar issues with my 08RK after turning her into a 103. Same story back to the dealer several times and still ran poor. So while at Bike week took her to Cycle Rama in Penallas Park and it runs like a top using the SERT tuner. You difinitely need someone who knows what they are doing to straighten it out.
