Talking HQ 113" build completed

Finally got my HQ 113" build done! Had the work done by Engines By Otto in Sugar Grove, IL. So far, so good. Took the bike on a break in ride to Missouri and back with no issues other than it's running a little rich so the fuel milage was only about 32 mpg. I still have to take it back to Otto for a final dyno tune and I'm sure that will take care of the milage problem. It runs like a raped ape!!!! This is the feeling I've been looking for in a Harley since I bought it 8 years ago! Sorry I wasted so much time trying to piece an engine together a bit at a time. It is true, you do need to use parts that are matched and compliment each other! So, don't waste time and thousands of $'s the way I have over the years. Just save it up and put together a good kit and have the work done by someone who knows what they are doing. My thanks to all the guys on the forum; Phil M, Dalton. etc.... Oh yeah, thanks to Otto, he does top notch work! YEEEEEEHAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

Good advice. It's so tempting to do a bit here and there but you still won't have it as good as a one time purpose build.

Nice build! Absolutely agree with your philosophy of "go big early". Same story here. I'm having an engine built in October. Can't wait!
