how to take baffles out?

Default how to take baffles out?

once you have the 2 screws out what do you do next to get the baffle its self out,,I tried reaching in and turning it but cant move it,,this is on a set of se's slip ons

It should slide right out. However, my SE II's have 3 screws, so make sure you have all the screws out. You may need to get hold of it with something with a hook end and kind of tug at it. If that doesn't do it take the muffler off, hold it upside down, and tap it on a piece of wood so as not to dent it. The baffle should let loose. If the muffler has any dents on the outside you could be in for a challenge as the dent will help "lock" the baffle in place. Let us know how it goes.[8D]

Here's what I did, took a piece of steel about a foot long and put a 1/8 th" screw about 1 1/2" long in the end of the metal bar and used the screw to slip down into one of the hole's in the baffle, then I took a set of vice grip's and clamped on to the other end of the bar and lightly tapped on the vise grip's and they came right out, no problem. Hope this help's.

well I got the back one out but I could not get the front one to budge so I just put the back one back in and said heck with it,,,its on my buddies sporty 883 and was just doing it to see if it would give him a little more sound but I guess it will have to wait till later on when I decide to try again!!!
